The Buff Turkey was taken out of the SOP in 1915. A friend passed this link on to me for the 1910 SOP. www.archive.org/stream/americanstandard00ameriala#page/292/mode/2upHere is a copy of the Buff Turkey page: Kevin Porter is working on an all Buff Turkey. With the Jersey Buff we need to use the Bourbon Red color description, but replace the red with buff. Kevin has a news article about the creation of the Jeresy Buff. The Buff was used to create the Bourbon Red and then the Bourbon Red was used to make the Jersey Buff. From Kevin Porter:"The old APA standard listed the buff as a pure buff, wings being of a very light shade. This is genetically different than a Jersey buff. I have came up with something this year that meets the old buff standard pretty darn close. Here is a few pics of what I created this season." "These are black winged bronze based with brown and of course red genes. b1b1eerr. They have a homozygous genotype so will be true breeding.
"The brown gene dilutes out the black edging that is typically found in red birds. The wings of my buffs are like the old buff standard calls for, a very light shade of buff. One thing I need to work on is seeing if I can get the tail to be more of one shade of buff, these all came out with a creme tip to their tails with the base of the tail turning to a lighter shade of buff as well. "Whatcha think???"Kevin Porter www.porterturkeys.com

I bought turkey poults from Porters last year and ended up with 4 buffs. And another tom who's close color match but more of a mottled. I hope to raise poults from them this year.
