THE CONSTITUTION OF EXHIBITION TURKEY FANCIERS
Article I – Name
This organization shall be known as Exhibition Turkey Fanciers
Article II – Purpose
The purpose of Exhibition Turkey Fanciers is the improvement of Turkeys through breeding, exhibition, networking and other means of dissemination of relevant information.
Article III – Membership
Any person or organization with a sincere interest in the Turkey and the purposes of Exhibition Turkey Fanciers may become a member upon completion of an application and payment of the annual dues. A member may be expelled by a majority vote of the Board of Directors for acts deemed harmful to Exhibition Turkey Fanciers
Article IV – Dues
Annual dues shall be set by the Board of Directors and shall be payable on January 1st for each calendar year.
Article V – Organization
Section 1. The officers comprising the Board of Directors shall consist of the following:
President Vice-President
Moderator/Secretary – Treasurer
Directors at Large and/or District Directors
Section 2. Officers shall be elected by the majority vote of the membership to a term of three years beginning on the first day of January following election. Any officer may be a candidate for reelection.
Section 3. Open positions on the Board of Directors shall be filled by a person selected by the President of Exhibition Turkey Fanciers and approved by a majority vote of its’ Board of Directors.
Article VI – Districts
Section 1. North America may be divided into twelve districts, each having a director, elected by a majority vote of the membership within said district, who shall serve as an officer on the Board of Directors.
Section 2. The districts will coincide with the districts of the American Poultry Association.
Section 3. Members residing in or citizens of countries beyond the boundaries of North America shall be deemed members of the district of their closest geographical proximity.
